Project activities
Mokpo used to be one of the three major ports. In particular, in the case of Manho-dong, rapid development took place as reclaimed land was actively developed during the Japanese colonial period.
However, as time passed, the population of the local area gradually left for Seoul, resulting in population exodus and halted development.
Starting with the Mokwon-dong Urban Regeneration Pilot Project in 2014, active urban regeneration projects based on local assets were carried out in villages such as Seosan-dong Borimadang, Manho-dong 1897 Gaehangmunhwageori, Yongdang-dong, and Samhak-dong, and the city gradually began to come to life.
Now, even regions that are planning to start urban regeneration are coming to visit.

Introduction to the organization
This organization is a cooperative located in Manho-dong that was created starting with the first Geonmaek Festival in 2019.
Since Mokpo is a region with a lot of dried fish, it started with the idea of making beer that goes well with dried fish available for drinking on the streets.
It can be said to be the first organization to create a 'village pub' where you can taste the Geonmaek Festival every day, lighting up the dark Manho-dong area and making it a top-notch organization that continues to attract tourists and residents. Based on these success stories, you can create your own content as a local creator by collaborating with institution officials, residents, or young people you work with.
